College Application & Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop
Incoming seniors are invited to participate in a three-session essay writing workshop. Get inspired, draft an essay, edit and critique it in class with peers, and get individual feedback from the instructor. Make your senior year less hectic by writing your essays before school starts!
Bring your college application and scholarship essay prompts to the class! Most application essay prompts can be found on applications available during the summer online at university and college websites. 3 Sessions will be available:
Session One: types of prompts; how to respond to each type; what subjects work best in an essay; structure and formatting of the essay.
Session Two: writing with style and voice; peer editing and polishing of a first draft.
Session Three: individual editing appointment via Zoom or in person.
Workshops are typically offered on select dates in June. Dates and times for 2025 will be posted here when available.
